How do I get started with Sunny Day Housecleaning Service (HCS)?
Complete the form on the Estimate page or call us for phone estimate. We will provide you with a preliminary quote. Next, we will meet with you in your home to get additional information and learn more about your needs and priorities. During that visit, you will be offered a final estimate for the price per cleaning visit. If you choose Sunny Day HCS, we will schedule a date for the first cleaning. References are available upon request throughout this process.
Do I need to purchase cleaning supplies or special equipment?
Sunny Day HCS provides all cleaning supplies and equipment, from cleaning cloths and liquids to vacuum cleaners. You need only supply access to your home on cleaning day, payment and feedback. We will do the rest.
How do I prepare for the cleaning visits?
You will get a reminder email from Sunny Day HCS the day before each cleaning visit. To prepare for cleaning visits, please clear all surfaces such as floors, counter tops, tables and sinks of dishes, toys, clothes and papers, etc. before the cleaner arrives. This allows Sunny Day HCS to give your home the deep cleaning it deserves. Also, please secure valuable objects or papers to avoid accidental breakage or misplacement.
Do I need to leave a key?
You have several options: Provide access to your home on your cleaning day by giving us a key, leaving a key in a hidden location, or arranging to have someone let us in.
What is the best way to pay Sunny Day HCS?
Payment is due on the day of the scheduled cleaning. Checks should be made out to Sunny Day House Cleaning Service (HCS), and left on the kitchen counter the day of the cleaning. What if I need to cancel a cleaning visit?
If you need to cancel a scheduled cleaning visit, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Learn more about our cancellation policies on the Policies page. Most of our customers choose to have us clean during their vacations because they love returning to a sparkling home!
Does Sunny Day HCS clean around children and pets?
We certainly do! For safety, please make sure small children are supervised and kept away from cleaning supplies and equipment. For insurance reasons, Sunny Day HCS does not clean up pet waste.
What if something is broken during a cleaning visit?
If something is broken in your home by a Sunny Day HCS cleaner, we will leave you a note and contact you that same day to find out how you want to handle the matter, including reimbursement or other compensation.
What about cleaning during a remodel?
We have worked through many remodels. Since certain periods of a remodel can involve water or electrical shut-off or moving furniture, please notify us so that we can focus on those areas of your home that are the greatest priority for that visit.
